Where do you get three? I chose the top FIVE with regards to mood, color, pattern etc. Wouldn't rules of three be in increments of three? Splain yourself Lucy.
LOL, remember the rule of 3's? as in photography.. lining up a shot so its balanced.. u group a shot so that when u look at it, it can be divided in 3 equal parts..
nope, strictly photography.. also its used in doing art journals.. a friend gave me an online class for art journaling and that is one of the first rules... wouldn't it hold true for painting or drawing?
I would think so. This composition in threes comes naturally to me. I don't know whether I ever really thought about it or learned of it . It's a natural thing with me.
But then: There's 3 primary colors. There's a beginning, a middle and an end. There's foreground, mid-ground and background. Apron, front stage, backstage. Father, Son and Holy Ghost. My three sons. --Three is a spiritual and awesome number.
this may sound strange but the gal who designed my yard will display her plants at the farmer's market in groups of 3's...she says it just looks balanced to have groups of 3 of one type of plant.
