Watching The Waves Roll In

Haven't done much of anything since we moved over to the Ritz Carlton, Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico.  I just sit in the shade of the palapa and watch the waves roll in.

Rains have passed and sunrises are as glorious as they ever were.

The palapa with all day shade is home.

The hotel is great too.  This leaded glass dome covers an atrium filled with holiday poinsettias. Very festive.

Love the workmanship and colors. Could have devoted myself to this craft.

The view from the room is a tease. Throw on your suit and meet you at the pool.

Come on down to the pool!

On the way to the elevator, glorious views of the bay and perhaps a future architectural landscape sketch?

Going down?

To greet the natives.

Today, maybe a watercolor? Maybe work on the baby?  Then again, maybe just soak it all in before heading back to Michigan's winter.

    1. I am doing my best! Funny thing: all the walking--on a par with hiking--is whacking me out after four months of sitting around with a bum leg after the operation. Good news is my altered lung swims as well as it ever did--underwater clear across the pool! I am relieved.

    1. Come on down! The hotel is nearly empty with everyone staying home preparing for Christmas. Christmas is here for those whose families are scattered across the continent.

    1. Yes, but I learned on this trip I don't want to live in a forever warm climate. I'm starting to wish for rain and a reason to stay in and paint. How crazy am I?
