Little Splashes

Aside from banning the use of any drawing implements including the markers, I desided to restrict size.  The WC block is 12 x12, I divided the sheet into two 6 by 8s and two 4 x 6 spaces.   Little splashes of color was the method of the day.  The Lady in The Yellow Hat, 6 x 8, was the most successful of two sketches.

    1. Loose but recognizable was the goal. :-)). I keep thinking I should have brought the pastels.

    1. It's a good vibe to share. The yellow hat got me to see smaller. The grand scene was too grand for what I needed to do--loosen up. Grand scenes also demand careful pencil work. I want none of that right now.

    1. The idea is to pull the viewer in, yes? I always like those paintings where I have to bring something to the party. Unfinished does just that.

  6. Gentle and beautiful! You are loose. Sun and sea have had their effect on the artist. Makes me want to go to the beach (and that's saying something).
