The Sun Never Sets

The sun never sets on the Caribbean at any hotel in Cancun. It sets on the bay. The fronts of the hotels face the bay and some very good restaurants that feature balconies for outdoor dining. The back of the hotels and all the rooms face the sea. Ellis and I have never seen a Cancun sunset in the seventeen years we've been coming to this warm-weather-seaside-three-and-a-half-hours-non-stop-away-from-home-resort-town.

    1. Ellis and I think we should begin planning our next holiday, the day after we pay off the American Express bill. We love the BT (before trip) anticipation. We detest the come home same old, same old. And the holidays do fly by.

    1. There is indeed magic in sea and skyscapes and hope swells in our breasts with every sunrise.

    1. Thanks Agnes. It was thrilling to take these photographs. All, except the last one, were taken between six fifteen and six thirty. The last one was taken at twenty to seven. I over slept. Too much fun last night.

    1. What a bunch of great dawns spent on the balcony waiting for the sun. I have one more to go before moving on. It will be happening in the next 40 minutes. I don't think we'll be ocean front at our next stop.

  7. You are busy as usual. Don't you ever take a break? Lovely sunsets. I think the break did me a lot of good, but I also think it was too long, hard to get up on the horse.

    Happy painting.
