Forget About It! Will You Please!

I can't. I won't. But THANK YOU CELESTE BERGIN!  I never even saw the compose tab; I was blinded by my fury over the custom domain give away, the absence of images and the run-on paragraphs. AND HERE, thanks to you, I HAVE A PARAGRAPH BREAK making the post I drafted a couple of mornings ago obsolete.

Most mornings, I finish my Sudoku puzzle and head downstairs to manage my blog. My blog being unmanageable, I turned the puzzle over and finished my coffee doodling on the back. The paragraph gremlin showed his ugly face. This is, of course, just a  draft. If I was a real cartoonist like PAMO, from here I would move to my vellum pad refine the devil till I got him smack on, work on the copy and get out the markers.  -- I should have put some pants on the monster,(who I suspect is Blogger. I have a lot of animosity), to hide the fact  they has no balls; their Help is a copout. They leave it up to "discussions" counting on seasoned bloggers to come to the aid of bloggers in need whenever they might stumble across that blogger's call for help.

Over the weekend, I've been contemplating pulling my retrospective post out of the mire, manually replacing   the blank images and deleting all the other posts. What was was. Move on. We do that everyday. So, you could say, the only journal entry of value  is the one you're writing.

  2. Looks to me like you are a cartoonist! I've been observing what you are going through with something like horror, and found some info about how to convert blogger posts to pdf files - thereby preserving your stuff forever (at least for you). They are at http://www.itechcolumn.com/2011/11/articles-as-pdf-to-email.html and http://www.itechcolumn.com/2011/11/blogger-post-to-pdf-online.html The second article refers to a website called Zinepal where this can be done.

  3. Absolutely Chris: not to buy a custom domain. Eventually they're sold off to someone else who lies and says that domain now belongs to a guy named Guy in Northern Ireland, BUT I could buy it back for seventy dollars. Seems odd doesn't it? First: it's no longer available because I allowed it to expire. Then: it is available for just sixty dollars more. Whose kidding who? Domain sales are a multi-million dollar business and a scam--at least from the companies we're dealing with.

  4. I looked into cartoon drawing a long while back Dan. I think it's a perfect coupling of artistic and writing talent. You've got it. Pamo has it. I could have it, if I put my mind to it. I don't really want it. My cartoon style just keeps popping up every now and then--the then being when I have a gripe of some sort.

I really don't want to preserve what I've posted in Blogger. Like I said, what I wrote in past posts is past tense. Thank you for the link directions though. I will check them out.

  6. Linda- I've come to your post late because when not working at the store I've been trying to figure out my Face Book account. Hours upon hours. Loss of data, looking for help, laughing in between until finally, eventually finding an obscure check box I had to then- uncheck.
Oh- I'm sorry, this is your blog. Whew.
You are a MASTER of drawing and of words. Perfect!!! I've smiled and related and enjoyed myself thoroughly.
You, my dear, can be anything. I do know you are a tremendous blogger!!!
    (Thank you for the mention.)

  7. Kathryn, I had half a mind to start perfecting him. He's red (cuz I've been seeing a lot of that color lately) on a muck green solid text ground, irridescent touches, longer tongue, whip-like ....it would have been fun--but just more run-on gibberish.

  8. I UNDERSTAND FULLY PAMO , but for you with your great talent for toons, good material. Take advantage. Blogging, though aggravating at the week, offers a spot of relief. I'm thinking of reverting back to the old format. I got a few more things to try after Celeste's clue.

  9. Hey, LW...thanks for the shout out! I'm glad you are able to paragraph now! woooo hoooo and I like your cartoon--cartoons are a great way to express oneself. I agree that blogs are a here and now type thing..that it makes sense to just move forward and forget the data loss. A couple of weeks ago I lost all kinds of important email. I could possibly get it back if I want to pay $$, but I'm thinking to just let the loss be a loss and go on.
Looking forward to seeing what is the next thing you do! :)

  10. I know I'm carrying on Celeste. You were a great help. Thank you again. I am going to reconstruct my two year sum up though. That's the prologue for the next two years. It really was the only important one. I extracted from the list and put it in word to await transplant. Yours truly Doc Roth
