Morning Mood
IN THE STUDIO
Not yet. It's too cold (54F) to go out and sketch the garden for drawing-of-the-day; so I'm sitting here at the computer with my first cup of coffee playing around in Pro 8--a program for babies next to photoshop, but it's all I got at the moment. Using what little I have with my limited experience, this is what Summer Shade could look like dark and gloomy.Just changing the colors, drastically alters the mood of a painting. Look how threatening the painting becomes.
But my mood's pretty good this morning. I have no intention of gloomying up Summer Shade. Actually, after the last drop of coffee, I intend to go down and mix some deep greens with various yellows added to the mix of dioxinine and thalo already on the palette to break up the blue/black and transition toward the lighter areas. And with this sip,I'm out of here.
Oh, I found this photograph while browsing. Can't recall when I did this, but I like it. Great for either a 10 by 10 or 36 x 36. Very Georgia O'Keeffe. I don't know what that red dot is on the lower left petal, but it's got to go.
