There's a wedding today. All the guests arrived from Boston and India yesterday. And they all greeted each other in front of my beach lounge. The joyous racket overwhelmed, distracted and blocked my view. I just kept painting as they kept yakking. BEACHWALK #2 suffered. Peinture de plein air est préférable lorsque personne n'est là. Plein air painting is best when no one is around.
WINE ON THE THE DECK, SUNSET. (There are no sunsets in Cancun that I've ever seen. Night just pushes the day away).
well, the wedding party may have irritated...but the painting is quite cool! gorgeous photos....wow......what scenery!
ReplyDeleteHotel scenery. Not exactly plein air, but I do love looking at all the people moving around the pool area. Your logical vacation spot is Hawaii. Ours is Cancun and Puerto Rico. Cancun is sort of frowned upon by some folks. They think of it as a Fort Lauderdale/Spring Break spot for college kids. And yes, there are those spots around town that kids would love, but not where we go. I've been to Acapulco and Puerto Vallarta, but the Caribbean Sea makes Cancun my favorite. The Pacific can't match the color of the Caribbean.
DeleteI think both plein air paintings are beautiful and colorful impressions! Wow what a beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteYou are kind Judy. I think I picked a poor view and over painted it. But tomorrow is another sunrise--if all goes well? Each day is a blessing with new promise.
