A hotel room is more than a place to sleep. It's a home away from home if you run into high winds, sandstorms and temperatures reminiscent of Michigan. Such was the case yesterday. Fortunately, Ellis is a whiz at getting the best for the least. Watching reruns of The Big Bang, Seinfeld and Rambo II after lunching on bouillabaisse and Caesar salads at Vintner's Grill was more than okay, so okay, we ordered dinner in and watched CSI Cyber. But tomorrow, Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and a charming lunch in Henderson.

No one was eating breakfast outside; it was fifty five degrees! I'm headed to the shops to buy a sweater, before we hop in our Nissan for our road trip.
TIP: if you ever get to Nevada or Arizona, bring all the moisturizing body lotions you own! It's big time dry in the desert states. Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate!
