Home Sweet Home

Bite my tongue. Snow, slush, fog, chilling rain greeted us at the airport. Electrical outage hiccups greeted us at home. Heat was just getting back up to where it could be called heat. Ellis' finicky HP printer wouldn't print. Light bulbs had burned out. And the Grandmother clock ran down and needs medical attention. Other than that a knee that had been great in the warm, ached in the cold. We felt like it had all been a crazy dream.  Exhausted, we collapsed on the couch for some Tom Selleck and a hot bowl of chili. (I do preprepare consoling comfort foods to sooth souls so harshly dropped back into the lap of reality).

We flew over this and blew a kiss. We flew North into blinding fog no camera eye could penetrate not even with ex-ray vision.  Today, Ellis's printer repair, laundry, folding and cutting my nails. Beethoven's Pathetique awaits on the music stand.

SOME LAST HOUR IMAGES

Under the blue umbrella. Reminiscent of the star of Bethlehem.

Ellis reads the news of a world a world away oblivious to those guys in the pool who are a painting begging to be painted.

I like to watch the world walk my my chair.

And Ellis triumphant  after his stroll down to the sea and didn't lose his glasses.

Sun, sea, family, friends, old acquaintances bumping into each other under the same umbrella. My idea of  Christmas.

MERRIEST OF CHRISTMASES AND HEALTHIEST OF NEW YEARS TO YOU ALL!
