It was a photographic weekend. The photograph of all things black got me started.
The photograph of all things white was a lot easier than the photograph of all things black. One arrangement of all things white, overhead, general lighting, one click, and a "quick fix" adjustment in Jasc Photo Album and I was done. The all black photo, took some manipulation both with bracketing in the camera and adjusting color, exposure, and vividness in the computer program. My weekend exercise was in photography--not, as I thought-- getting a photograph to use as a step-off place for a drawing, (though I might).
I find it odd that after publishing a post yesterday on how art school turned me off the Still Life genre, I set up two still lifes and spent the weekend shooting them. I guess it was the subject--I prefer shoes to flowers. It's as simple as that. I'm going to pass that along to the men in my life. For Mom's birthday, call 1-800-LUVSHUE. 8M please.
Please Note: 1-800-LUVSHUE is something I made up. As far as I know, there's no such phone number to call for shoes.
ReplyDeleteLOL, glad u put that disclaimer up..lol...pearls sure add that little touch don't they? looks good..somehow the all white works as well as the different shades of black..i think those are two that work well... other colors? gonna have to think on that one...
