Worth a Thousand Words?

Not much of a drawing, but I do hope it helps my friend. She's moving and needed to know how to make a floor plan of her new place so she could layout her furniture. I tried to give her written directions, but in the time it was taking me to do that I could dash a sample off of a fictitious space and hope the picture is worth my thousand words. If she doesn't get it, I'll just have to fly down to Sarasota and help her out.
I didn't tell her to note the cold air returns or any heat vents (if they have them in Florida). I didn't want to get too complicated.
