Portraits Aside, Sunday's a Day for Fun

For fun, I smeared Alzarine Crimson and Light Green on a catch-all painting I have had going on in my studio for two or three months.

The painting by impulse is a conglomeration of torn up pictures, shredded packaging fillers and whatever paint that was left on palettes from other paintings that I didn't want to wash down the drain.(I'm cheap). It is a spontaneous gesture. It's free association, a collection of painterly elements done spur of the moment. It's graffiti of sorts, a journal.

I just added to it as I was moved. Unfortunately, the Alzarine crimson and dashes of Light Green yesterday moved me finished. The canvas has had it. On to the next, no thinking allowed.
