He spends three months here each year, and then my daughter spends three months over there!!!

I know how that extension feels, so far it's given me 17 years. Let's hope you're good for another 25 at least (you're only a kid yet). A few hiccups this AM, like leakage, that sent us rushing around figuring out how to bind off the wound better than the pros, but I was a mom, a crafty lady who had some tricks up her sleeve that did nicely. I'll have to pass those on when I see the doc.

Yes, I did paint that triptyke. About forty years ago. The three together, as planned, measure twelve feet by six feet. I painted them intuitively. The vague images are clearly figurative and feminine, probably autobiographical; what else could it be? I never really arrive at a finish; I just stopped when balance was achieved. The painting arouses great interest in me and everyone else who sees it. I did it in three panels for ease of access, the one practical plan I thought necessary.Linda Rothhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02833417183469551153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2153983949078742556.post-90392166158342916832015-08-16T07:31:06.720-04:002015-08-16T07:31:06.720-04:00Slow but steady. I am tickled this morning.

A Western American! A lively guy. He will be great fun I am sure. As for painting. You, my friend, are a terrible phony. You can paint circles around many of us. But you're right about one thing: you are still learning. Learning never stops. It's a wonder any of us call ourselves professionals or are referred to as maestros. Those are artists who have been 'practicing the craft' for years longer. At it for only six years, armed with only 'raw' talent, I was worried my learning period was going to be cut short. Today, I feel overjoyed by the extension I've been granted. Enjoy your cowboy thespian.

Linda Rothhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02833417183469551153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2153983949078742556.post-38333209260963011412015-08-16T03:07:03.492-04:002015-08-16T03:07:03.492-04:00Well done you.! The mistake is to do too much too soon ...but you know that, but it needs saying nevertheless.

We're getting invaded by an American (Denver, Colorado) for the next three and a half months. He'll be teaching Impromtu at the local theatre and want s me to teach him painting ....some hope, I'm still learning myself.

Look forward to seeing you back in the saddle.Gatepost productionshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18061920423331681586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2153983949078742556.post-12719218746011809812015-08-15T23:38:25.289-04:002015-08-15T23:38:25.289-04:00Bask in it!..
