Instead they were so dry, they bled every morning. I spent the first morning in the gift shop buying chap stick. Then the high winds and sandstorm pushed Ellis to renting a car in which we drove immediately to the nearest pharmacy and bought nasal moisturizing gel, and the super size, heavy duty moisturizing lotion. Taking a shower became a moisturizing ordeal twice as long as usual. My eyes were even dry; I bought drops for them. Protecting our bodies was a major portion of our morning. Luckily, the time change had us up at five so we had plenty of time before the restaurant opened for breakfast. While the hotel grounds were an oasis in the grandest sense, it was surrounded by desolation. Climate shock aside, we had a great time largely due to our excursions around the area. I can now cross that spot off my list of a possible place to retire. I had been to Vegas many times, but we stayed on "The Stripe." This time we explored the countryside and it made us glad we live where we live. The topography is nothing but rocks, sand, cactus. I woke up with dry mouth every morning and couldn't drink enough water to quench my constant thirst. It was so dry, my sinuses went bloody. not a pretty picture. That is why the hotel landscaping, truly an oasis in the desert, fascinated. It really was a fete.

Arriving home, the lushness of Michigan's burgeoning spring was truly a sight for truly sore eyes. In Nevada, I was constantly using lip balm, eye drops for dry eye and a moisturizing nose gel on top of totally moisturizing my whole body and carrying hand moisturizing lotion arouno in my purse. I really don't think there are many acrylic painters in Nevada. 😄Linda Rothhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02833417183469551153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2153983949078742556.post-75721553134808888482015-04-22T22:35:05.084-04:002015-04-22T22:35:05.084-04:00Your last pics are spectacular , no wonder you lov...Your last pics are spectacular , no wonder you loved your vacation.
